Day of fun surprises!

This is our priest's wife and toddler. The three of them came for a short surpirse visit tonight to cheer up Dirk and bring him Communion. It was really great to see them.
These are Japanese Sticky Rice Balls. The boys decided out of the blue to make them this afternoon and it was just lucky we had everything they needed in the pantry. I am also surprised that I am learning how to get the extreme close-ups to focus.

Good close-ups! I like seeing what's happening in your home and school! How is Dirk? How lovely that they brought communion to your home.

Thanks Susan, I am not sure how to answer, how's Dirk. He was getting a bit better, but now he is not again. I am personally frustrated with all the drugs they keep giving him to treat symptoms, without digging deeper into the whys. For the last week he has slept 18 hours a day because of the meds.

((Sandie)) - So sorry to hear that Dirk is not feeling well again. I'll keep him (and you) in my prayers.

How neat to get a glimpse of your visitors. I bet that toddler had a great time at your house. Your close up is great!

Oh, Sandie, I'm sorry things are so difficult with Dirk's health right now. I so admire your positive attitude even in the face of challenge. That really comes through in both your words and your photos.

I like the first photo the most. The splashes of color from the blocks(?) are nice.

Sorry about Dirk. I had wondered why he hadn't posted any new photos. I'll pray for you guys.
