I'm thinking the b&w is well suited for self portraits. It adds an intensity...maybe because we aren't distracted by color and can see "deeper."
This one speaks to me, even while you are silent.
I agree with Laura. This one makes me sad because it really is family matters that penetrate so deeply into our hearts and are sometimes our of our hands in whether or not we can talk about them with the person involved. The angle that it shot at is also intriguing.
You really captured your emotions with this one.

I had the same thought as Laura: black and white imagery heightens the emotion in a self-portrait (or in portraits of other people, for that matter). I admit I wouldn't want to do a month of b&w, but I really like it for these people pictures.
