VBS

This year our church again joined forces with three other Episcopal churches for VBS. THe theme was to create the Marketplace of Nazareth. I brought some of the animals for the barnyard stall. There were many other stalls, but I didn't get pictures of those today.

Days like today are kind of bitter sweet. It makes me realize all over how much I really do enjoy the wonder of the littlest ones. That is what I miss most, seeing the wonder, seeing things for the first time, over and over again!

Yep, "the wonder" is why I so appreciate it the littles. That and the simplicity. Yes, when we're in the midst of it, we may not realize it's simple, but in so many respects, it is.

VBS -- it's going on in our town this week, too. Our church is too far away for us to do their VBS, so we do the one in our town instead, which is a sports camp. The boys love it.

I understand. Glad you're having a bit of time with some in VBS.

This is really fun to see. After all the skinny goats in Senegal, your goat looks very healthy!!

I helped out at VBS for years (putting the skits together), and this year it was my daughter's turn to volunteer. I can't believe how quickly they move from being an attendee to being a helper! It's so nice to see in your pictures how much the children enjoy being there. Live animals are an especially nice treat.
