Tired feet....

Athena began the audition process for the University of Louisville Ladybirds tonight.
Her poor feet ended up with ripped blisters after just three and a half hours of dancing on the gym floor.

Friday night was just the start of the audition process.

Sat.(today) she had to dance from 9am to 11:30am for the audition, get to dress rehearsal for her dance studio, we left there at 4:30 pm, then had to go shop for a business interview outfit(for the interview portion of the audition), then get back to the second half of the audition tonight at 7pm and she danced until 8:30pm. She is now soaking in the tub.

Sun. (tomorrow) she has to be in her business outfit by 9:30am to do a grueling set of on the spot interviews for a couple hours, then get into an audition costume, warm-up from 1pm-2pm and then begin the final dance audition from 2pm-4pm in front of about 500-600 people--the Ladybirds let people come an watch the final auditions for a $5.00 donation-- after all that she has to wait a few weeks for the coaches and team captains to make their decisions.

On Friday night they had over 50 girls, this morning they had less than 35, tonight less than 30....I will be surprised to see how many actual make it through to the final dance audition Sunday afternoon. All these girls are competiting for only 5 confirmed spots. Now if the new people are better than the old ones the coach may replace them, but that is not a guarentee.

Probably lots more than you wanted to know. :)
