How could you resist giving her another cookie?

I have a lot to learn....

I was trying to get my "first great shot" to be of Coco (in the background), but Angel literally popped her head or her tail into every shot. This was the best of a bad bunch :)

This more closely reflects my day of playing with my lenses and reading my manual. The bed was covered with my very old camera equipment. Some of the equipment is older than I am because I bought it old and second hand when I started taking photography classes more than 20 years ago....

I did post some shots I liked on leftovers.

A break from the rainbow.....

My family really does love me :)

They all chipped in and got me this for Christmas. Mom wanted me to have it early so that I could learn how to use it by Christmas and to make sure it is all here and in working order. I wanted this specific camera because I have thousands of dollars worth of lens from my old camera that will work with it too.

Green?

I was shooting this pretty green acorn squash for my rainbow, when Ginger decided itwas time to have her picture taken. She butted into every shot. These two were my favorites.

Lemons....

I wanted to do colors when Carol did it this summer, but never got around to it. I didn't set out to do fruits or colors this week, but since I ended up with three in a row, I might try and finish the rainbow in fruit.

Thanksgiving Day 2007

My mom was modeling her new hat. It was made with lots of love by a dear friend. The yarn is especially soft, so it feel good against my mom's tender skin. That is Ginger in her lap. It has always been hard to get a good natural picture of my mom, and I like all three of these.

Saturday

They were just too cute trying to warm up in the sun today.

Wednesday

We went to Frankfort today. I think the kids learned a lot, and had more fun than they expected. I have to weed through over 200 pictures, but when I do more will be up on Musings.

Tuesday

I took a walk in my yard. This was my favorite shot, but if you want to see more of my rain walk, check out leftovers.

Monday

This is actually a student project. I loved how the photo almost makes you feel like you are there. For more student projects go to Musings.

Printing the blog

We have been using Lulu.com for yearbooks and a few other self-publishing projects of Dirk's and have really been impressed with the quality. So they are they ones I am going to have print the blog. I think it might take a little bit of formatting on my part, but not a lot of work.

This is also one way I looked at to print the blog too, Blog2print. They seem like a pretty good option, but I think Lulu's prices were better and I know Lulu's quality is fantastic. I will probably look into it again for the end of the year.

Another weekend of dance.

On Saturday, Athena (well the Ladybirds :) ) were the featured Dancers at a dance team competition. Little girls wanted their pictures taken with her in her uniform. It was quite flattering being a minor celeb. Here she is with her bestest friend Vikki.

Then she went to the stage production of "So You Think You Can Dance!" she had a ball and got to meet all the dancers, talk to them and get her picture talken with them. I hope to post a few of thoses when she gets them posted.

Then today, Nathan's team was asked to do an exibition dance at Middle School Dance and Cheer Competition. Most of the pictures were very blurry, but I liked this one of the girls stretching before the dance.

Now the actual Thursday and Friday pictures....

I think I am only two behind,

But I have to post a few because I want them in my album when I get this year's blog printed!

Our very first game system is a huge success! Thank You Kim, you really are an angel! I now give out 'reward tokens' when the kids go out of their way to be helpful, kind, or diligent. It is fun suprising them gold coins they can then turn in for extra game time!

New Math Tutor?

Lexi belongs to one of my students. She just came for a visit yesterday. I have never really seen a dog this small before. She is even too small to show in the tea-cup or toy class.

Bonus....

I had to post this because my family would never believe me if I hadn't taken a picture. I can never remember winning a Scrabble game in my life. Before yesterday I don't think I had ever broken 200, here my score is almost 300. Kim and Dali get all the credit, they have really been great to play with!

Friday - Tuesday

I voted today, did you?

I have been outside in the beautiful weather. I love Fall light.
Athena helped Opa shave his head on Sunday.

Thursday

Had lunch with my dad and one of my favorite 4 yr olds.

Then came home to find out that I get to drive this pretty baby for the next two week while they fix the van! I have wanted a PT Cruiser since the first day I saw one.

Tuesday- Wednesday

Wednesday, I can't believe I went the whole day and didn't see even one costume. It was a beautiful sunny day. The high point of my day was sitting on the kitchen steps looking up at this majestic tree.

Tuesday, One of my former students came by to borrow some 'Army Stuff' for his costume. He was going as a GI Joe and he was also decorating his jeep for a church Trunk-N-Treat. It was a great visit.

I just had to add a bonus picture, it is going to be a looooong year of waiting for both of us :)
