I just had to try this!

This was too much fun. I just recently learned how to adjust my shutter on this camera (didn't even know I had that power), and so when flipping through photography blogs I had to take this challenge right away. Camera Toss....

Louisville Skyline.....

It doesn't happen often, but I do still have to get on the expressway occasionally :) In the bottom left hand side of this photograph is the new Ali Center. If you look real close you can see his face repeated three times. If you want to know more about how cool this place is click here.

Sorry the picture is blurry, it was another click the buttom and hope for the best while driving about 60 miles an hour :)

For some fun pictures of our snowboarding trip check out Musings.

Mixed bag.....

Our church turned 150 years old today. That is what these banners say. I forgot my camera this morning, so this is actually a picture I took Wednesday night.
This is my B&W shot for the day.
This is my 'want to record' shot for the day. This is how worn out Dirk is after just a short 20 minute shopping trip. He felt fine when we left the house. The insurance company is insisting that he go back to work tomorrow, even though the doctors say he is not well enough. Keep him in your prayers as his commute is a 45+ minute drive each way.

Silenced.....B&W self-portrait

Family matters that I not only can't talk about, but I can't even address with the person.

Another snowy morning....

I have a few that I like this morning, so I posted them in leftovers. It is 9:15 am here and instead of the 20 or so kids I usually have, 8 have braved the weather so far. I should have time to play with pictures.

My midnight job!

By the time I get a chance to clean the kitchen it is usually midnight, the dishwasher has been filled, but not run and this is what is leftover to handwash before morning! So, here is my nod to the modern still life.

"Super Mom"

I was at church tonight, snapping away on all the reflective surfaces and thinking about how the kitchen is still the center of activity even in a church. I got home and discovered this shot that I didn't even know I took (most of the shots are very close up strange angles and reflections). I loved how the coffee pot and toddler are in focus, but mom is moving so fast she seems in hyper speed. I think it is the way most mom's of toddlers feel.
